AI video models by how long a clip they will make
Every model has a ceiling on how much video it will produce in one request, and it is one of the more consequential differences between them: it decides whether a shot is a single take or a join.
The longest on Musevate is 30 seconds, 26 models reach 15 seconds or more, and the majority sit between 5 and 10. The numbers come from each endpoint’s own published list of accepted lengths. Where a model counts in frames instead of seconds, the figure is converted using the frame rate that model publishes -- and where no rate is published, it is left unranked rather than given a number that would look right and be wrong.

Questions
What is the longest clip an AI video model can generate?
Seedance 2.5 accepts the longest single request on Musevate at 30 seconds. 26 models reach 15 seconds or more and 65 reach 10. These are ceilings for one generation, not a limit on how long a finished video can be.
Why are AI video clips so short?
Because generating video is expensive in a way that compounds: every extra second is more frames to produce and more coherence to hold together across them, and the models that hold a scene together for thirty seconds are recent. The practical answer is that most finished work is cut from several short clips anyway, which is how film has always been made.
Can I make a longer video by joining clips?
Yes, and it is usually the better approach even where a model would go longer. Generating several short clips gives you a cut between each one, which is a shot change rather than a mistake, and it lets you keep the takes that worked instead of re-rolling a long generation because of a problem three seconds from the end.
Does a longer clip cost more?
Yes, roughly in proportion to its length. The prices in this table are all for a five second clip so they can be compared with one another; the studio quotes the real figure for the length you actually ask for, before you spend anything.
Where do these numbers come from?
From each endpoint's own published list of accepted lengths, read directly from the provider rather than from its marketing. Where a model counts in frames rather than seconds, the figure is converted using the frame rate that model publishes, and a model that publishes lengths in frames with no stated rate is left out of the ranking rather than given a converted number nobody can stand behind.
